Eddie was a native of Catawba County, born on May 26, 1930 to Harland Lester and Daisy Kaylor Sigmon. He was a Private First Class (PFC) in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 and served as the Chief Deputy U.S. Marshall for the Eastern District of N.C. for twenty-six years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Ann McCarley Sigmon, and brothers: Harold, Joe, Wilfred and Dean Sigmon and sister Kathleen Parks.
He is survived by his daughter Renee Marshall, Willow Springs; and son Mark Sigmon (Kristen), Cary; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister-in-laws Merle, Sandra and Jean Sigmon and brother-in-law, Bill Parks; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Mary Overton.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 21st at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Cary from 6-8 PM. Service is Wednesday, August 22nd at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Cary.
