Born on July 17. 1944, in Lowell, Mass., she was the daughter of the late John Gibson & Helen Gibson (Dodge). Donna graduated from Lowell High School, where she served as a Girl Officer and was known as the girl with the great smile. In 1972, she married the love of her life, Michael Kmetz. They moved with their three young children, Tommy, Lorie, & Michelle to Flemington, NJ where they spent the next 45 years raising their family and creating a home where all felt welcome. Donna worked as a real estate agent for most of her career in Raritan, NJ. Prior to retiring, she followed her passion and worked as an assistant pre-school teacher in Bridgewater, NJ.
Donna’s love of life and people was contagious. She always had a smile, a “happy everything” attitude and showed all of us what unconditional love is. She loved people being happy and she would always do everything to make it happen. Where there was laughter or people, Donna was always in the middle, adding to everything.
Donna is predeceased by her son, Thomas L. Clark, father John Gibson, mother Helen Gibson, and sister Jeannie Dilavore. She is survived by her husband Michael Kmetz, her daughter Michelle Post and husband William Post, her daughter Lorie Kmetz O’Sullivan and husband Robert O’Sullivan, her brothers Jack Gibson and Kyle Gibson, and her grandchildren that she loved “bunches and bunches”: Thomas J. Clark; Kaitlyn, Jacqueline, Silas, and Skyler Post; Charles, Chase, Van and Hudson O’Sullivan.
Donna is forever loved by the family she created. Her love and light in this world will be missed.
