Debra Schneider passed away November 30th, 2021 in Cary, North Carolina. Debra was born on August 9th, 1956 to Noveleen Plasters Rakes and James Dewey Rakes in San Diego, California. She attended 71st High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina and graduated class of 1975.
Debra was very involved in her church community and found joy in helping others. Debra also loved her family and always looked forward to the holidays.
She was the oldest of 5 siblings and is survived by her sister, Donna Briley and her husband, Greg Briley; her sister, Denise Hunsinger and her husband, Tommy Hunsinger; her brother, Darrel Rakes and his wife, Marie Rakes. She is survived by her son, Jim Schneider and his wife, Joyette Schneider; her granddaughters, Alana Schneider and Kira Schneider; 4 nephews and 2 nieces, Brian Briley, Duncan Briley, Kalen Hunsinger, Jamie Hunsinger, Tristin Rakes and Mason Rakes.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Noveleen and James Rakes; her ex-husband, Jerry Schneider, and her sister, Diane Rakes.
Services will be held at Moody Funeral Service, 202 West Blue Ridge Street, Stuart, Virginia 24171 on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 at 11am.
