Carol Taylor Smith

Carol Taylor Smith, 85 of Erwin, passed away on August 10, 2024. She was born in Greensboro, NC on September 08, 1938 to Malcom and Gertrude Taylor. She was married to David Carlos Smith Jr. for 34 years.

Carol had a career in Bookkeeping for Medical Insurance Companies.She had a passion for gardening and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sister-Linda Faye Taylor, Brother- Marion Lewis Taylor.

She is survived by her sons David Carlos Smith III (Patricia) of Durham, NC, Daniel Ray Smith ( Karen) of Richmond, VA. Daughter Marie Smith Poston of Erwin, NC. 7 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren and her Sister Barbara Ann Taylor of Erwin, NC.

A graveside service for Carol will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 1:00 pm located at the Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC.
