Barbara E. Patterson

Barbara Elaine Nash Patterson, 79, of Cary, NC, passed away on April 5, 2014. She was born on September 16, 1934 in Washington, DC to Rufus Taft Nash and Minnie Pearl “Pat” Kennedy Nash. During her working years, Barbara worked as an Instructor at Northern Virginia Community College, in Administration at Mount Vernon Hospital, and with Myrtle Beach Property Management. She was active in Daughters of the American Revolution and her church.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Rose Bunting Weston; son, William “Bud” Bunting Jr. and wife, Robin Buikema Bunting; grandchildren, Nathan, Brian, and Amy Weston and Jonathan, Connor, and David Bunting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Cameron “Pat” Patterson Jr.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, April 10, 2014 at White Plains United Methodist Church in Cary. Barbara will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to White Plains United Methodist Church, 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
