I worked for Billie at Friedman's I absolutely loved her and she was a awesome woman I didn't know she had passed my thoughts to all of you who have lost this beautiful strong woman

My husband and I met Billie in May 1996. 
We were shopping for my engagement ring.  
There are so many memories I couldn’t possibly list them.  
Such a beautiful spirit.  She was such a joy!
Her family are in our thoughts and prayers. 
She will be missed.

I met Billie in the fall of ‘85 after moving from Ohio to Cartersville.  I was 19 and knew only a few people.  I went to work at Friedman’s and within a week  Billie had decided she was “adopting “.  My boyfriend and I were invited to dinner at her home where Mac made his famous Puerto Rican chicken.  The four of us became fast friends sharing almost everyday with each other.  I remember Billie insisting we go to the Ridley family reunion where more than a few Ridley’s we’re scratching their heads when she introduced me as her daughter.  Billie is/was so much more than just a friend.  Most everything I am is because of the strong influence she had over me.  She was my once in a lifetime friend.  Fly high my beautiful friend.  I know you’ll be watching over me just as you always have.  Until we meet again, I love you!

I meant Billie by her husband many years ago I use to work with her husband at Lacy Mills in Cartersville and I meant her at the Jewelry store in Cartersville she was such a sweet lady,  I will always remember her " Billie". 
Let your wings fly high and let them spread like an eagle and meet God on the other side with your husband. You'll be miss by all of us we love you Billie.

no matter where she was or what she was doing she always had a HUGE smile and greeted everyone so kindly.

Our friendship goes way back.I remember  u would go in she would say.Come see what I got me.A new ring added to her collection.She says I will wait a little before I tell Mac.We always said we were never going to grow up or act our age.Oh the day she won the Red Mustang she says stop in when you have time I will take you for a spin.Miss you my Precious friend ❤️. 

Mrs. Billie helped me on my first big girl  purchase of jewelry  at Friedman’s after a “big”paycheck at my high school job. Later at Whitehall and then at Stile’s. I still use her foolproof necklace detangling trick. She was sweet, smart, loved her husband and her dogs. She always looked her best,  seemed to enjoy being a lady and wearing her jewelry. In the last conversations I had with her she warned me repeatedly to stay out of the tanning beds. When I think of “growing up Cartersville” her face will always be etched in my memories. Rest well Mrs. Billie. You were appreciated by so 
many. 

“Billy” was a true Angel.  She was loved by so many.  She had the biggest heart and always had the biggest smile.  Prayers for the family during this time and RIP Billy. Now you and Mac can continue your journey together. 



I have known  Billie for years. Remember first meeting her at Friedman.   My mother and daddy, Jerald and Willa Sue Bishop love her also.  She always had a bright smile and would always ask about my family.  I remember when she was at Friedmans, I had to take her a picture of my mother and daddy’s wedding for her display window.
Ms. Billie,  I know heaven gained another angel and you are on the streets of gold and diamonds.  Please tell mother and daddy hello.

Precious Miss Billie!  She was a true southern belle and a friend to everyone!  You will be missed here on earth, but so so welcome into the gates of Heaven!!  RIP

 She was my manager at Friedman's Jewelers.   Billie was one amazing lady.  She was such a strong and fierce woman who never let anything or anyone stand in her way.  She inspired me to go into retail management.  I am so thankful to have met her and for her to have been apart of my life.  My love, thoughts and prayers go out to her family members and friends.  She will NEVER be forgotten.

She was warm hearted. Smiled a lot. Her and Mac will always be in my thoughts and prayers. 

My daughter, Dana McGhee, worked with her for a good while.  She thought a lot of her, and Dana learned a lot from her.  I'm so sorry about her passing.  She was loved by many.

I could write a book on how important Billie was to our family. 

Billie, I will cherish the moments spent at your kitchen table, eating some chicken and dumplings, (or if I begged in advance, a bowl of peach cobbler) venting and getting advice on life from a wise “old woman.” You are so loved by so many, and you will truly be missed. Kiss my momma when you see her.
