After graduating from Cartersville High School in 1965, Tim served his country in Vietnam. While in high school, he was an outstanding athlete and was a member of the football team, baseball team and track team. His love of sports continued after high school by playing on local softball teams for several years. It was during this time that he met his beloved wife, Mamie. He retired from New Riverside Ochre in 2015. Tim loved going to Panama City Beach with his family, and they enjoyed shelling and being together making special memories that would last a lifetime. He loved music, especially the music of the 60’s and 70’s. Tim spent many Friday nights with his buddies at Weinman Stadium watching his CHS Purple Hurricanes. He was a devoted and avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. As one friend wrote, “He was one of the good ones”. Tim was a loving, devoted and involved father to Peyton and Jordan. He never missed any of their athletic or academic events. They were his pride and joy.
