Roy Donald Hinson

Mr. Hinson was born August 26 1932 in Barbour County Alabama the son of the late James William and Bertha (Grubbs) Hinson. He was retired from Equifax, was a Veteran, having served in the Air Force, was a member of and past president of the Adams Masonic Lodge in Mableton was past member of Belles and Beaus and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.

Surviving is his wife, Katie Baker Hinson of Cartersville, children, Ron and Lisa Hinson of Atlanta, Teresa and Anthony Earwood of Cartersville, Tim and Wendy Hinson of Cartersville,, five grandchildren, Jay, Phillip, Liz and Summer Hinson and Austin Earwood, sister, Velma Turman of Union Springs Alabama, brothers and sisters in law, Leon and Alice Hinson of Tallassee Alabama, Earl and Patsy Hinson of Union Springs Alabama and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Clinton Green and Rev. David Baker officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Grizzle, Steven Lively, Jack Lively Jerry Knight, Billy Tatum and Ron Goeber.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
