Robert Leland Caswell II,"Bert", age 78, passed away on June 28, 2021 in Cartersville, Georgia. Bert was born on April 6, 1943 in Panama City, Florida, to the late Fred Caswell and Mary Catherine Broxton Caswell.
Bert graduated from Gupton-Jones School of Mortuary, and was a licensed Funeral Director and Mortician for years.
Throughout his life, one thing was for sure - Bert Caswell enjoyed it to the fullest. He never met a stranger, and had friends from all walks of life. Bert loved to make people laugh and everyone was always glad to see him. He loved music- Motown being at the top of his list. He also enjoyed dancing, playing golf, and really loved cars. He could drive them (fast!), and re-build them, detailing each one he came across to perfection.
He had a heart full of love to give to everyone, especially as his grandchildren’s “PawPaw.” He loved being a grandpa and spending quality time with his family and friends. Bert touched many lives in many ways and will be missed by everyone.
Along with his parents, Bert was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Caswell, and son, Lee Caswell.
He is survived by his daughters, Carrie Caswell, Amy (Rick) Camp; brothers, Richard Caswell and Alec (Jane) Caswell; mother of his children, Carol Owen Caswell; grandchildren, Leland Camp and Will Camp; and many loving extended family members and friends to cherish his memory.
A celebration of his life will be held on July 2, 2021 between ten o’clock in the morning and one o’clock in the afternoon, at Owen Funeral Home with loving words and a prayer at one o’clock.
