Pauline "Polly" Gibson

Polly was born on July 26, 1931 in Bartow County, daughter of the late Hoyt and Margaret Mauldin.

Polly was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a proud member of Pleasant Olive Baptist Church in Rydal, GA. She retired from Nantucket after many years of dedicated employment. She was always a very hard worker.

Polly is preceded in death by two loving husbands, Robert Cornwell and Buddy Gibson; sister, Louise Scarbrough.

Survivors include her siblings, Jewel (Jack) Nally, Linda Walden, Billy Mauldin and Betty Anglin; several nieces and nephews also survive; best friend, Bonnie Taylor.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 23rd of October, 2022 at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Elrod and Rev. Adam Toole. Interment will immediately follow in Pine Log United Methodist Cemetery.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to service time at the church.

Serving as pallbearers are Chris Jones, Anders Best, Austin Jones, Marty Cornwell, Brandon Walden and Blake Walden.

The family would like to give their sincerest thanks to the staff of The Oaks Personal Care Center and Tapestry Hospice for the love and care shown to Polly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Olive Baptist Church.
