Norma Patricia ( Pat) Hawkins

Mrs. Hawkins was born June 27, 1941, in Cobb County, the daughter of the late, Roy Lee and Virginia Geno (Rice) Verhine and was of the Non-Denominational faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee and Virginia (Geno) Verhine of Marietta, her husband, Earl O. Hawkins of Marietta, a brother, Jason Verhine, sister, Linda Seablot and a much loved cousin, Robert Fowler.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Pamela Ploof and Jeff Brooks of Rockmart, son and daughter in law, Travis and Jill Hawkins of Yorkville, Georgia, grandchildren, Tonya Lanham, Corey Hawkins and Erica Jenkins, great grandchildren, Bryson Lanham, Cameron, Bralynn and Kash Jenkins and Landyn Hawkins, a brother, Wilburn (Lorianne) Verhine of Warner Robins, and sisters, Lecy Lott of Marietta, Carrie Verhine of Marietta, Shirley (Randy) Morris of Dallas, Sandra (Danny) Morris of Canton, great aunt and best friend, Veanette Padgett of Dallas, great aunts, Tootsie Smith, Mary Padgett and Billie Lou Griffin, great uncles, Brodus Verhine and Edward (Betty) Verhine, best friend, Janice Atamemnon, two honorary granddaughters, Kristina Shields and Christy Brock, and an honorary grandson Christopher Roark.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Willard officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon United Methodist Cemetery in Holly Springs, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Corey Hawkins, C.J. Shields, Ronnie Owens, Lee Morris, Kevin McClure and Susan Huberty.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Morris, Chris Roark, Rosemary Allen and Kristina Shields.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
