Mary Christine Teems

Christine was born on October 12, 1937 to Lloyd and Catherine Worley in Cartersville. She grew up in a large farming family as one of sixteen children. Christine graduated from Cass High School in 1955. She spent her career working for Sears and The Home Depot’s corporate office.

In 1968, she met JC Teems and his son, Mark. The couple married that same year. Christine became a doting mom to Mark from the time he was four years old.

After retiring in 2000, Christine spent her time traveling with the Bartow County Senior Center, socializing with the Red Hat Society and spoiling her grandchildren. Her son, Mark cared for her at home in her final years.

Christine was predeceased by her parents; twelve of her siblings; and her husband.

She is survived by her son, Mark; siblings, Glenn, Ruby and Ruth; and her grandchildren, John and Katie.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 3:00pm at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville, Georgia.

Friends are cordially invited for visitation two hours prior to the service.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center and Maple Ridge Healthcare Center for their care of Christine.
