Janice Mansfield Beck

Janice Mansfield Beck, 91, a lifelong resident of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. The family would like to acknowledge and thank those good friends and caretakers who helped care for her during the last months of her life.

Born on July 11, 1932 in Cartersville, Georgia, Janice was the daughter of the late Martin Smith Mansfield and Louise Martin Mansfield.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband William Earl Beck, sister Patricia Martin Mansfield, brother Gordon Edwin Mansfield and infant twin brother John Edwin Mansfield.

She is survived by her son, Mark Beck and his wife Kathleen of Brookhaven, Georgia, grandson Brandon Beck of Arlington, Virginia, and granddaughter Natalie Beck of Brookhaven, Georgia.

Janice was a graduate of the Cartersville High class of 1951.

A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sibling and friend, she invested much of her life caring for those she loved. Janice was an active member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and was also involved with Meals on Wheels for many years.

Visitation will be held at Owen Funeral Home on Sunday, November 19, 2023 between 2pm and 3pm, followed by funeral services in the chapel at 3pm. A graveside burial service will be held immediately following at Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville, Georgia.
