James Alvin Williams

James “Jim” Williams, age 83 of Cartersville, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 08, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cartersville, GA on July 10, 1937 to the late James “Stiffy” and Bobbie Ellison Williams.

Jim is survived by his wife, Nancy Williams; sons, Chad Williams (Shiloh Howell), Kye (Anissa) Williams; daughter, Jenny (Louis) Tonsmeire; grandchildren, Wendy Benson, Robby (Ashley) Moore, Katie Eure, Sara (Cole) Payne, Chloe Williams, Gib Williams, Hattie Beth Williams, Grey Williams, Annabelle Williams; great-grandchildren, Nicol Benson, Will Benson, Willa Mae Payne, Radley Moore; sisters, Joan Ross and Judy York.

Jim retired from Lockheed. He was a Vietnam veteran in the United States Navy Seabees division and was a member of the Cartersville Masonic Lodge #63. He enjoyed wood carving and was a member of the Etowah Carving Club and also enjoyed shooting pool.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, December 12. 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Dr. Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
