Jack Dennis Waldrop

Jack Dennis Waldrop, age 76 of Acworth, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 10, 2024. He was born in Tifton, GA on February 21, 1948 to J.C. Waldrop and Kathryn Underwood Waldrop. Jack served his country in the United States Navy for four years. In his youth, he enjoyed playing clarinet and saxophone in concert and jazz bands. He retired from Napa in 2010. He loved driving a tour bus for seniors and Berry College sports teams. During retirement, he especially liked adventures in his RV and cruises with family and friends.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Kathryn Waldrop. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Franklin Waldrop; daughter, Faith (Marcus) Davenport; grandchildren, Autumn Davenport, Holt Davenport; brother, David (Lana) Waldrop; brother-in-law, Larry (Cindy) Franklin; sister-in-law, Cindy Franklin; nephews, John Franklin, Andrew (Haydee) Franklin, David (Stephanie) Franklin; niece, Emily (Dell) Harlow-Curtis; great nephews, Ethan Harlow-Curtis, Nathaniel Harlow-Curtis, Elias Harlow-Curtis, Cruz Franklin.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at LifePoint Church, 610 N Tennessee St, Cartersville, GA with Pastor Nathan Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LifePoint Church, Cartersville, GA.
