Mr. Klein was born on April 18, 1936 in Pekin, IL, son of the late Bill Zollman and Fannie Perkins Zollman.
Mr. Klein proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and retired as Captain after twenty-one years of dedicated service as a Supply Officer. He was also an avid golfer. He was a man that liked to work with his hands, building homes and landscaping. Mr. Klein was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a proud member of Faith United Methodist Church. He and his loving wife of thirty-nine years, June Wright Brawner Klein loved traveling and ocean cruising. The light of his life was spending quality time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Klein is preceded in death by siblings, Charles Klein, Lois Sours and Evelyn Vest.
Survivors include his wife, June Klein; children, Dean (Mary) Klein, Wendy Carter, Gary (Kim) Klein, David (Harriett) Brawner, Tim (Karen) Brawner and James Edward (Toni) Brawner, II; grandchildren, Madelyn Orochena, Catherine Kayser, Jonathan Klein, Nicholas Klein, Dylan McComas, Brittany Muller, Jessie Klein, Wade Klein, Morgan Klein, Amanda June (Dan) Brawner, Jessica (Josh) Lovett, Wesley (Courtney) Brawner, April Katelyn (Dylan) Young, James Edward Brawner, III and Jordan Brawner; great-grandchildren, Olivia Rose Orochena, Mackenzie Brawner, Addison Brawner, Kayleigh Brawner, Sutton Brawner, James Lovett, Abigail Lovett, Maverick Lovett, Hadley Katelyn Lankford, Maya Brawner and Sarafina Brawner; brother, Ron Klein
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 29th of December, 2021 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Marus officiating. Internment will immediately follow in Pine Ridge Memorial Park, Kennesaw, GA with full military honors rendered.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the evening until seven on Tuesday, the 28th of December, 2021 at Owen Funeral Home.
