Billy Joe Bray

Mr. Bray was born on May 12, 1935 in Bartow County, Georgia, son of the late George Bray and Eddie Gravely Bray. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. He was a great father, grandfather and loved fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Bray; daughters, Donna Blackmon (Shane) and Wendy Hester (Cory); sons, Randy Bray (Lawonia) and Ricky Bray; grandchildren, Brandon Bray, Matthew Bray (Kassidi), Tyler Blackmon, Amber Blackmon, Autumn Blackmon, Zachery Bearden, Courtney Hester, Chandler Hester; brother, Charles Pratt; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning July 2nd at 11:00 AM in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Harris and Rev. Ralph Cvazquezie officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM in the Georgia National Cemetery with military rites.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Charlie Thurman, Jerry Thurman, Cory Blackmon, Lonnie Coffin, Jacob Martin and Cody Brown. Honorary pallbearers include his grandsons.
