Betty was born on November 4, 1939 in Rome, GA, daughter of the late Arthur "A.M." Hopkins and Lydia Estelle Bonnell Hopkins.
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother spent her last days surrounded by family which was always her greatest joy.
Betty lived in the Cassville area growing up. She graduated as the Valedictorian of her class from Cass High in May1957. She worked for a short time with the phone company before joining the Army in 1957. In the Army, she served as a dental assistant in Fort Bragg, NC, where she met her husband, Warren. They married in 1960 and she was honorably discharged from the Army and for the next 62 years was the staple of her family, raising her children and helping raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was lovingly known as "Grandma".
Betty is preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Rhoden, James Hopkins, Willard "Bobby" Hopkins; sisters, Peggy Clark and Carolyn Clark.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Warren Fritz; children, Charles Fritz, Debbi Clay, Sandy (JaJay) Cantrell and Loren Fritz; nine grandchildren, Amy Fritz Toro, Christina (Christopher) Allen, Alaina Barnette, James W.
