Ann Green

Ann Bryson Green, 75, of Cartersville, GA, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2019. Ann was a wonderful lady that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Ann was born on April 29, 1944 to Dewey Talmadge Bryson and Lola Edmondson Bryson. She attended Cass High School in Cartersville, Georgia and graduated in 1962. On January 16, 1965 she married Hoyt Allen Green Jr. The couple settled in Cartersville, GA where they raised their two children, Beth and Mary.

Ann was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a grandmother, “Mawmaw”, to her three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Ann loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family and friends was important to her.

Ann was known for her feisty, yet good sense of humor. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hoyt Allen Green Jr; daughter, Mary Katherine Green; sister, Faye Knight and brother-in-law, John S. Knight. Ann is survived by her daughter Beth Green Ellenburg; son-in-law Tim Ellenburg; granddaughters Shelley Elizabeth Dunn, Natalie Elisabeth McElrath, and Dr. Ashley Leeann Nash; great grandchildren Hunter, Ethan, and Madison McElrath; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o’clock on Saturday, the 21st of September, 2019 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with. Interment will immediately follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cartersville, GA. Serving as pallbearers are Hunter McElrath, Ethan McElrath, Steve Nash, Mikki Cornejo, Michael Bryson and Ed Cole.
