I remember serving with Tyrone Easter Sunday just like it was yesterday. We had such a crowd but Tyrone never buckled. Between the two of US the Sunday went smoothly.  I will miss my Brother.  RIP. ONE LOVE. 

Tyrone the Las Vegas community will not be the same. Your passing came as a shock to everyone and you are truly missed by many especially  our Valley View💜💜  family. Thank you for all you done to make Vegas better. 

I CONSIDER TYRONE AS A BROTHER, NOT JUST AN ASSEMBLYMAN.  HE EMBRACED ME FROM DAY 1 WHEN I ARRIVED ON THE SCENE IN LAS VEGAS. I MET HIM WITH REV PATTERSON AT HIS OFFICE AND HE ALWAYS GAVE ME GREAT ADVICE. GOD MUST HAVE WANTED HIM NEXT TO HIM. HE WAS A LOVED MAN BY ALL. HE BLESSED US!!

Although I didn’t know Tyrone well. It felt like I’ve been knowing him all my life.  The one time I called on him for my Son, he responded right away... Thank you Tyrone for being the Communities Champion! Rest easy...

Tyrone, was inspirational person who served his community with great care and vision for the future.

Tyrone and I were part of the 13 Peaceful Warriors in the Diversity Champions training many years ago with the City of Las Vegas. He was our leader. I enjoyed learning with him and committing to serving others.  My favorite cornerstone of diversity always made me think of Tyrone - "You don't have to be one of.. to stand with".  God bless you Tyrone for all the difference you made in the world. God bless your family, friends and fur babies. May  he lighten their hearts with loving memories of you. 

Tyrone you will always hold a special place in my heart and l will always love you more than you know. My heart is broken and l will cherish my memories of you and l will never forget that million dollar smile. I am so very proud of you. Rest well my angel until we meet again.  Love you firever

Tyron as I affectionately call Ty was the producer of The City BEO Etation! A soulful lip sing group who only the Doolittl Seniors got to share at last year 2018 Mother’s Day Tea! A memories that Will be  cherish for a lifetime!

Tyrone will always be in our hearts forever!   He was a true man of God that represented the interest of those in need of assistance.   A genuine man with honor and integrity who loved our community with compassion.  Our hearts are heavy!!  We pray for Gods peace to comfort his family and colleagues who mourn his homecoming. Mr.Thompson was one of my many mentors throughout my high schools years and as I entered into college. In high school I worked at a hamburger restaurant and I always knew when when he approached the drive thru as he was consistent with his order every time. A “Pastrami Sandwich no cheese or pickles!” He loves our pastrami so I made sure we took care of him with extra! It was always a pleasure to see him in the community . He inspired me to do better . 

Uncle Tyrone was our daddy's best friend. He saw our mommy & daddy get married. He stood next to our dad. He was the best god father. We miss him a lot. He's in heaven with our dad. 

GOD only wants the best.   To many fond memories  to name.  His smile, his demeanor, his efforts to make a change will all truly be missed but never forgotten. Rest In Peace my brother.

To the family and friends of Tyronne Thompson,  Tyronne has made his mark, and made an impact in all the lives he has come in contact with. We are going to miss him in person, but he will be forever in our hearts. We will see him again in heaven. May God comfort and give you hope during this time of your life. 

I will always treasure our days working together at DWSS Charleston office, back in the early 90's.  He was such a kind and caring young man and never changed. Our last text about three months confirmed that.  
My prayers are with his family, the world has lost a very special person.  Rest in peace Tyrone.

Tyrone is the part of our family that never lost sight of his dream to one day have a legacy worthy of being replicated.  He was our pride and joy.  He was never too busy to care.  He would often show up when you least expected.  God decided he needed another star and there was Tyrone shining bright as the sun.  Rest In Peace TIGER 

His substantial leadership abilities and commitment to the community. Having Tyrone lead us in the Clark County Neighborhood College was educational, inspirational and priceless.

His smile lit up a room. I Remember mostly how thrilled he was at the opening of the Shannon West Homeless Shelter.  It was his passion that helped me push to build it in a safer area for homeless youth. 

His last job at the county was teaching future leaders and neighbors on how to navigate the County.  The students loved him.  

Tyrone touched all those that he came in contact with and lives on through his beloved family.

Tyrone would always treat me like a champion but in my heart he was the true Champion. He Loved his Family and the community, his work was priceless. He was Truly a Saint. May God Bless his Soul.

Our prayers are with the whole family.My mom and I miss him.He always referred my mom as his Cuban Mom because my mom was his supervisor.Liliam and Mary Hickey

I hadn't seen Tyrone since high school but remember him so fondly. He was a bright light of cheerfulness in the halls of Valley High. It was a joy to reconnect with him on Facebook and see the good he was doing in the world, and I just can't wrap my head around the fact that he is truly gone. It is up to us to carry on his legacy of true caring for each other, for championing the downtrodden, and lifting up those in need.

Tyrone and Shannon West were the very first people to urge Family Promise to capacity build and increase services to homeless families and their children.  Over the years Tyrone would call me to check in on our progress...he also became someone I called whenever I needed advice or guidance.  Tyrone Thompson made us feel like our voice mattered and he truly cared.   He made us better at what we do because he challenged us to "be better" at working together.

It is hard to imagine not having Tyrone 's voice leading the way .  Our staff at Family Promise LV send our love and prayers for comfort to all family members.
