Wanda Marie Fletcher, age 91, of Farmers Branch, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in Irving, Texas. Wanda was born September 25, 1930 in Bakersfield, California to parents Alpha and Bessie Bridges. After completing High School, Wanda met and married John Fletcher who was in the Navy. They move to Farmers Branch, Texas and had two sons, John and Kenneth.
Wanda worked in the retail industry and later retired from F.W. Woolworth. She loved doing puzzles, being crafty, and taking care of her flowers in her flowerbed. Wanda also had a love for animals and she was known for adopting all the neighborhood cats.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband John Fletcher; her parents Alpha and Bessie Bridges; her brother Raymond and her sister Catherine.
Wanda is survived by her son John Fletcher and wife Melody; and her son Kenneth Fletcher and wife Sharon; her granddaughter Jennifer Bluitt and husband Elijah, her granddaughter Mallory Kellermeier and husband Craig, great granddaughters Alissa, Jayden and Macie; great grandsons Kyler and Elijah; niece Carter Jane Bardwell; great nieces Michelle Bardwell Pettee, DeLeigh Bardwell Talbott, and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Wanda will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Rhoton Funeral Home with funeral services following at 11:00. The committal service will follow at Crossroads Cemetery, located in Blue Ridge, TX.
Serving as pallbearers are Craig Kellermeier, Joe Lindsey, Jim Wiener, Elijah Bluitt, Brian Ransom, Alex Gonzales, Ronnie Collier, Marco Villalobos and Arlen Brown.
