Roger Dale Rogers, 71, passed away in Plano, Texas on August 9, 2019, after a short battle with cancer. Roger was born on February 8, 1948, in Plainview, Texas, to Rubie and Calvin Rogers. Roger proudly served in the United States Army as a door gunner during the Vietnam war. He spent the remainder of his life working in the oil & gas industry, which allowed him the opportunity to travel the world. He was a history buff, loved a great card game, and most of all, a terrific husband and father.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dawn, of Carrollton, Texas. He is also survived by his daughters; Lisa & Chris Ingram of Silsbee, Texas, Brandy & Chris Diamond of Farmers Branch, Texas, Casey Rogers of Carrollton, Texas, Lacey & Garet Feimster of Dallas, Texas, and Candice & Kenneth Colson of Savannah, Texas. Roger was also a loving paw paw to his 5 granddaughters and 5 grandsons, and always kept them entertained playing monster and short ribs. He joins his grandson Asher Starr Diamond in heaven.
