He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Constance Joan Peluso Riska; son, Raymond Drews Riska and wife Jennifer; daughter, Kimberley Noelle Riska McFarland; son, Steven Drews Riska and wife Stephanie; son, Charles Aaron Riska and wife Christina; daughter, Holly LeiAnne Riska MacKillop and husband Dave; daughter Stephanie Fe Pearson and husband Keith; daughter, Michelle Louise Munn and husband Mike. He is further survived by two brothers, Michael John Riska and Steven Charles Riska, as well as 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Ella Irene Greenwood Riska; father, William Drews Riska; brother, Douglas Paul Riska and daughter, Melanie Renee Riska.
Robert attended Brigham Young University, The U.S. International University and the University of Hawaii and served his country as a musician in the United States Naval band. He furthered his musical career by serving as a choir master, conductor, accomplished organist, jazz musician and piano salesman. Robert was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he was able to enrich the lives of countless people through his love and passion for music and the gospel of Jesus Christ. When not actively involved in music, Robert loved photography, woodworking, ham radio and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Visitation will be on November 30, 2021, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 4000 Nazarene Dr. Carrollton, TX 75010, followed immediately by a memorial service beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at 1:15 PM at the Dallas National Cemetery.
