Rey David Galaviz Jr.

He was born on November 26, 1996 in Houston, Texas and graduated from Frisco High School in 2015. He recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and was in the process of finding work in his career field. In 2014, while still in high school, he entered the Army for training and upon graduation in 2015 he went to Fort Bliss, TX, El Paso, Texas and served in the Iraq and Kuwait war. He retired from the military in March of 2018 as a Sergeant with full honors. Rey was always very positive and believed that God would help him find a new beginning in his life.

Rey David Galaviz is survived by his mother, Judith Lara Maldonado; brothers, Abraham Galaviz, Alex Hernandez and Mateo Hernandez; grandparents, Roberto Lara and Alicia Lara; uncles, cousins and many great friends.

A visitation for Rey will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South Interstate 35e, Carrollton, TX 75006. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2:00 PM at Rhoton Funeral Home.
