Kathleen loved her family, her friends, and her faith. She loved cooking and having gatherings-- the gathering part maybe more than the cooking, especially during the holidays. She loved to laugh and catch up with people and share stories. She was a really good friend and cultivated many long friendships. When Kathleen asked "How are you?" she really wanted to know, and she maintained written correspondence with family and friends far and wide.
Kathleen was biology teacher by education, having graduated from Ursuline Academy in Dallas and Southern Methodist University. After starting a family, she focused on being a mom for many years. Once her kids were teenagers, her family fostered infants who were awaiting adoption. She loved those babies and all babies, especially her 7 grandsons!
Kathleen was preceded in death by her sister Mary Ann Brown, her brother Charles Brown, and her parents: C. Frank Brown, MD, and Genevieve Shea Brown Hern, MD.
She is survived by her children: Carolyn Gardner Hunt and husband Anthony; C. Matthew Gardner; and Lisa Plummer and husband Matthew. Kathleen is also survived by sister Patricia Currin and seven grandsons: Zachariah Hunt, Killian Hunt, Silas Hunt, Ren Hunt, Jack Gardner, Dean Plummer, and Jake Plummer, along with nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
