Judy Gene Bush, age 79, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2022, at Sunrise of Frisco. She was born May 29, 1943 to Luther Pruett and Imogene Crenshaw. Growing up, Judy was an active member of Field City Baptist Church. It was there that she met her two lifelong friends, Sondra Henderson and Wanda Johnson.
Judy married her husband, Donald in 1963 and gave birth to four children. Sadly, one of her babies died shortly after birth. During the course of her life, Judy had several part time jobs, including caring for the babies in the nursery at Highland Baptist Church and working at a clothing store. She loved her jobs, but being a mother and grandmother was most important to her. She loved being a Nana to her only grandchild, Jessica.
When her health started declining, Judy moved to an assisted living community in Frisco. She truly enjoyed her time at Sunrise where the staff made her feel so welcomed and she made many friends.
She is survived by her son Gary Bush and his wife Courtney; her son Greg Bush and his wife Pam; her daughter Sheri Johnson and her husband Robert; Granddaughter Jessica Johnson; brother Roland Pruett and his wife Rhonda; nieces Mandi Licea and Brandi Triplett; and many cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather Samuel Crenshaw; the father of her children, Donald Bush; nephew Brian Ormsby; and her infant daughter Cindy Lynn.
She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Judy will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Metrocrest Funeral Home, 1810 N PERRY RD, CARROLLTON, TX 75006. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Metrocrest Funeral Home. A committal service occur Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 11:15 AM at Hilltop Memorial Park, 1810 N Perry Road, Carrollton, TX 75006.
