Willie W. Croft, 82, of Cape Coral, FL died Thursday, February 7, 2013. He was born in Moberly, MO, the son of Willie P. and Lucille Croft who preceded him in death. He graduated from Moberly Junior College and later received a Master’s Degree in Education from Northeast Missouri State Teachers College of Kirksville, MO. In February 1951 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and in October married Helen Burton Croft. He leaves his wife of 61 years, two married daughters, Sharon (Johnny) Degler and Janis Croft (Alan Winer), five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Alberta Lance of St. Charles, MO. After graduating from college and spending four years in the military, Willie spent the next 30 years doing what he loved most – teaching. Upon retirement Willie and Helen moved to Florida where he spent 26 wonderful years enjoying his favorite past times, golfing and dancing. He was a member of the American Legion, the Moose, the Elks, and Faith Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Pkwy, Cape Coral on February 13th at 1:00 pm. Ashes will be laid to rest in a private service at a later date.
