He was born in Portsmouth Virginia on December 27th 1970. Sean grew up at Holy Trinity School in Norfolk before he graduated from Norview High School, and later received an Associates Degree from Tidewater Community College.
Sean met the love of his life, Chelese, while on vacation in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Both were vacationing with their families, staying in neighboring houses. Sean later moved to the Philadelphia area to pursue Chelese in her hometown, where he fell in love all over again… this time with Philadelphia sports. Especially his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Chelese and Sean were married on October 25th 1997, and spent 30 wonderful years together, splitting time between PA and FL. Much like his love for Chelese, Sean’s love of the Eagles, Phillies and Flyers never waived, regardless of the state he resided in.
Sean started a successful family business with his wife, SeaChel Pool and Home Services. Sean was the primary service provider of the business for many years. His customers enjoyed his visits and appreciated his friendly and joyous demeanor during their routine engagements during his service visits.
Sean loved the elements and everything about nature. He was fascinated with fire and often hosted friends and family for gatherings around the firepit at his home. He craved being near, in, or on the water. An avid bodyboarder, fisherman, boat captain and beach lover – the salty air invigorated Sean. Often referred to as AccuSean, he loved to track the weather - always pointing out various cloud formations, approaching weather patterns, and making predictions about the next big storm. He enjoyed nature and could name countless tree, flower, fish and bird species without hesitation.
Of all his loves in life, he loved people most. He cherished his close relationship with his sister Kelly. He was the fun loving uncle that never failed to put a smile on his nieces and nephew's faces. He was the epitome of a family man. His children, Aiden and Erin, were Sean's greatest pride and joy in life. Strangers were simply friends he had never met. Sean engaged with everyone he encountered, greeting them with a huge smile, tons of warmth and a welcoming greeting of “Hey Pal”. A true southern gentleman, Sean always held the door, jumped to help anyone in need, and always replied with ‘yes ma’am’ or ‘no sir’. His positive energy would fill any room with smiles and laughter. Always a gracious host, Sean was happiest with a house full of friends and family with music playing, sports on the TV and a cold beverage in hand.
Sean is survived by his wife Chelese, son Aiden (19), daughter Erin (17), father Russ Malone, sister Kelly Malone Jackson (Chris), nieces Casey, Kyleigh, Kady, Mia, nephew Mason and his beloved sidekick cockapoo Milo. Sean was considered a brother to his in-laws Cristina and John Westwood, and a son to Renee and Luis Roig. Sean is also survived by a large extended family and many friends that were like family to him.
To know Sean was to love Sean. He will be missed tremendously and thought of often.
A celebration of life for Sean will be held Wednesday, October 19,2022 with a gathering starting at 5:00 PM followed by a service at 6:00 PM. Guests are requested to wear green to represent Sean's love of the Philadelphia Eagles or any shade of Sean's favorite color, blue.
