Ron graduated from Tolman High School in 1961 and later joined the Navy serving his country on a carrier ship during the Bay of Pigs. After his military service, Ron returned to Pawtucket, RI and worked with his father as a carpenter. He later started his own contracting business in Cumberland and the surrounding towns of RI.
Ron met and married Lucille Sylvestre in 1980 and lived in Cumberland, RI where they spent many enjoyable weekends on their boat and had the privilege of meeting lifetime friends.
In 1995 Ron and Lucille moved to Cape Coral, FL. Ron worked as the maintenance manager at Jerry’s Foods in Sanibel, FL until his retirement. After retiring, Ron joined the Sea Hawks Club in Cape Coral. He began building and flying radio control planes with the friends he met through the club. Ron also loved music and began playing the organ. After a few lessons and an ear for music he became an accomplished organ player and enjoyed playing for his friends and family. Ron’s creative side was very impressive. He became fascinated in art of fused glass and enjoyed creating a variety of items from wind chimes to very intricate pieces of art.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Lucille.
A gathering will be held Tuesday, October 1st at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd., S., Cape Coral, between the hours of 10 - 11am with a memorial service to follow.
