Patrick "Buck" Walsh

Patrick James Walsh (“PJ”, “Buck”), age 67, of St James City (Pine Island), Florida, formerly from St Denis Parish in Chicago, Illinois, passed away September 17, 2024. He was born December 15, 1956 in Evergreen Park, Illinois.

Preceded in death by his parents William E Walsh and Ruth V Walsh; loving brother of Ellen (late Richard) Szynal, the late William (Jeanne), Edward (the late Diana), Jeanne Johnson, Kathryn (Stephen) Kozlowski, James (Judith) and Richard (Eileen Danovich). PJ was a true “Uncle Buck” to his nieces and nephews, loyal friend and cousin to many and most recently a devoted nephew to Aunt Lorraine Walsh Mooney (the late Ed Mooney).

Buck was a proud veteran of the US Army and former long-time employee of Soldier Field’s Grounds crew. He will be remembered for lending a helping hand to anyone or any organization in need, and for his generous use of the f word. PJ will be missed!

Illinois family and friends will meet for a Celebration of Life at Jenny’s Steakhouse, Chicago Ridge, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, 12:30pm-3:30pm. Florida family and friends will meet for a Celebration of Life at the American Legion, Pine Island Post 136 in St James City, Florida, on Sunday November 3, 2024. Military honors ceremony begins at 11:00am, the Celebration of Life to immediately follow. Interment private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois.
