She was the oldest of 3 children, born in San Francisco to Howard and Janet Jameson and as the first Grandchild, she was the apple of her Grandmother Stremme's eye. Linda grew up in the 50s and loved Girls Scouts, Sock hops, and Bandstand. Her absolute favorite was Elvis Presley, although the Beatles were a close second. She loved to dance and frequently went with her brother, David Roy Jameson to kick up her heels.
Church was also a big part of Linda's life. She attended the Shoreview Methodist Church where she enjoyed fund raising, bazaars, and family worship. Well, really she loved shopping at the bazaar which helped raise those funds LOL.
Linda attended San Mateo High School and later received a Cosmetology degree. She really enjoyed hair and makeup and making people feel pretty. But one of Linda's proudest jobs was being an Election Official. She thought it was important that people come out and vote and was very excited to be a part of that process.
Linda married her first husband and for a short period lived in New York. As a result of that marriage there were 2 beautiful children born: Annette Christine and Eric Howard Knowles. But after several years she returned to Sunny California and lived in the San Mateo/Shoreview area. It is there that Linda met her second husband, Ronald Howell. They were together 20 years before Ron's passing.
Linda then moved to Washington State to be with her daughter Annette Christine (Chris for short). She spent the next 21 years living with Chris, Diane, and her Grandson Spencer. Eventually Linda became a Great Grandmother to Spencer Junior and Macy Espinoza. There were many good times spent shopping, traveling around the country in their RV, and lots of trips to Linda's favorite place to visit - the Casino, which were many along the way.
In 2015, Linda, Chris, and Diane moved cross country and made Cape Coral their new home. Her sister-in-law, Susan Jameson, often joked calling the three of them, the Golden Girls. Linda loved Florida, it’s sunny weather and all the friendships she made. There was lots of love and much happiness.
Unfortunately, her time here ended too soon. Linda will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Rest in sweet peace Linda Ann Jameson Howell or as I call her, Mom.
A gathering will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Blvd., Cape Coral, on Friday December 20th between 3 – 4pm with the memorial service at 4pm.
