Leo Flynn

Leo J. Flynn, 94 of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011. He was born on November 29, 1916 in Connerton, Pennsylvania to James and Kathryn Tierney Flynn. Mr. Flynn was an Engineering graduate of Penn State University and was an avid Nittany Lions football fan. He was a parishioner of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. Prior to retiring to Florida Leo and family were longtime residents of Westfield, N.J., where he was very active in Little League and Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Leo is survived by his loving family including his children, Jule (Pete) Foley of Cape Coral, Leo (Herbie) Flynn of Alexandria, LA, James (Peggy) Flynn of Westfield, NJ, Robert (Barbara) Flynn of Westfield, NJ, Mary Kay (Bob) Michalczak of Jupiter, FL; grandchildren, Pete Foley, Amy Wojcik, Beth Flynn, Stephen Flynn, Meghan Flynn, Trey Flynn, Jennifer Cahill, Katie Vanderlick, Megan Flynn, Abby Flynn, Stephanie Flynn, Brian Flynn, David Flynn, Katie Wilkes, Rob Michalczak; 11 great grandchildren. Mr. Flynn is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel and his granddaughters, Kim Foley and Kelly Michalczak.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2011 at St. Katharine Drexel, 1922 SW 20th Ave, Cape Coral, with Father John Deary, officiating
