Born April 22, 1935 in Mount Storm, WV, he was the son of the late Harry A. Buckley and Lena E. Mason.
He attended school at Aurora schools in Aurora, WV.
He was previously employed and a retiree of Mack Trucks, Inc. in Hagerstown, Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years Winona Buckley who passed on February 13, 2023; sons, James A. Buckley Jr. and his wife Leesa of Cape Coral, Fl., Gregory K. Buckley and his wife Brenda of Cape Coral, Fl. and Martinsburg, WV., and Marc C. Buckley and his wife Karen of Hagerstown, Md.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Jeanene Booth.
The immediate family is having a celebration of life. Additional services will be scheduled at a later time.
