Helga Martha Heinz

Helga Heinz, 94, of Port St Lucie and Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024. Helga was born in Berlin, Germany in 1930 to William and Mathilde Steuer, who predeceased her. Helga was married to Gunter Heinz until his passing in 1995.

Helga and Gunter owned the Pine Rest Motel in Toms River, NJ from 1974 until 1998 when Helga retired to Port St Lucie, FL. Helga was an avid line dancer, spending her retirement years dancing with countless friends she made along the way. A proud mother and grandmother who delighted spending time with family and friends, Helga was incredibly kind, compassionate, loyal and private.

Helga is survived by her sons, Andrew Heinz of Cape Coral FL, and his wife Cheryl, and Peter Heinz of Fort Pierce, FL and his wife Patricia. She is survived by four grandchildren, Stephen Heinz, Ashley Underwood, Christopher Heinz and Shawn Heinz; and seven great grandchildren, Emilee, Brayden, Dalton, Piper, Ruby, Jeffrey and Abigail.

Services will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery on Friday, December 27, 2024. Visitation will be from 1:30pm to 3pm, followed by graveside service at 3pm and a celebration of life from 3:30pm to 5pm.
