Emily Nora Uhde passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age 76 in Cape Coral, Florida after a long battle with cancer. She was born on September 8, 1947 in Muskegon, Michigan. Emily was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Emily was a remarkable woman who always had a smile on her face and looked for good in people. She approached life with unwavering positivity and was always eager to lend a helping hand. Her strong religious faith guided her throughout her life.
In her career, Emily found success as a business owner and sales professional. She owned and operated several hair salons and worked as a sales representative for Sears Appliance Select and an installed sale coordinator for Lowes. Additionally, she was a co-owner of Rika Builders, Inc. Before retiring, she enjoyed working at the Hair Connection in North Fort Myers. After retiring, Emily found joy in buying and selling vintage items.
In her free time, Emily had a passion for traveling, camping, and spending quality time with her family. These hobbies brought her great happiness and created lasting memories.
Emily is survived by her beloved spouse, Richard “Rick” Uhde, her son, John Giddens, sister, Cleo Jean Martinez, sister, Georgine McKinney, daughter-in-law, Maritza Giddens, grandson, Thomas Giddens Jr., great grandson, Joshua Giddens, grandson, Christopher Anderson, grandson, Johnny Giddens, granddaughter, Veronica Giddens, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, George Daniels, mother, Irene Daniels, son Thomas Giddens, brother, Bill Daniels, brother, Mike Daniels, and brother, Art Daniels.
In memory of Emily, contributions can be made to Hope Hospice. Her kind and caring nature will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
