She was a daughter of Merle and Sarah (Marsh) Allison and was born Dec. 30, 1938, in Blairsville.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 62 years, James Arthur Baker; children: Brenda Baker and Eric Crouch, Diana and John Riley, Judy and Bill McConnell and Linda and Ron King; five grandchildren: Bethany Bolten, Rachel Aterrado, Cory Riley and Joshua and Jeremy Vinson; brothers, Harry Allison and Dick Allison; sister, Virginia Shields; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Don, William, James and David Allison; sisters, Eleanor (Allison) Rovison and Martha (Allison) Baker; and a granddaughter, Amanda Jane Bolten.
Dorothy was one of the founders of the food bank in Blairsville and volunteered for the American Cancer Society. She was a Sunday school teacher, a dancer and loved to sing. Dorothy loved her family and friends above everything else. She gave her all to care for others under any circumstances. She was a poet and enjoyed sharing her writing in cards for all celebrations.
