Charles M. (Chick) Daly, age 78 of North Fort Myers, Florida passed away November 7, 2016. Born in New York City, he was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, with graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Penn State University. He worked in health planning for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and later was an auditor for the OIG of the Veteran’s Administration. He served in the Army Reserves, retiring with the rank of Captain. He loved golfing, shuffleboard, travel and reading.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Leary Daly with whom he had shared 55 years of marriage, three children Kimberly Dixon (wife of David) of Frisco, TX, Karen Kelly (wife of Daniel) of Allentown, PA and Michael Daly (husband of Carol) of Charles Town, WV. He is also survived by three grandchildren – Evan and Kylie Dixon and Tony Daly as well as two sisters - Janet Hansson of Barton, VT, and Susan Daly of Mt. Laurel, NJ and a brother Michael of Brunswick, ME.
He is preceded in death by parents Thomas P. Daly and Frances Connell Daly. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Therese Church on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to The Employee Appreciation Fund, Pacifica Senior Living, 9461 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, FL.
