It is with a heavy heart that the Barbara Seiler family announces her passing on Friday, October 4, 2024, after battling with numerous health issues. Barbara, Barb as her family and friends called her, was filled with a fighter’s spirit until her peaceful passing. She had to be tough growing up with all brothers on Kiwanis Lake in Ohio and then raising three sons of her own. She lived life always with an adventurous spirit, sometimes for fun and often times out of necessity, but her children couldn’t tell the difference as she always keep them entertained with laughter and her delicious cooking.
Barb traveled to Colorado with her eldest son, Jerry, and most admired sister in law, Teresa (Prin), for a camping adventure; one that each couldn’t speak of without a chuckle.
Barb had numerous job’s over her lifetime, but one of her favorites was when she worked at Suma Recording Studio’s in Painesville, Ohio, working along with many famous artist. She would often take her son’s with her to work making memories for them, memories she would often recall with pure joy all over her face.
Barb lived in Texas, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, Canada and Florida. Her adventurous spirit loved traveling to places like: Panama Canal, Mexico, Canada, many, many states in the United States. She settled down in Florida when she met the love of her life, John, whom she was married to for 40 years. Together their adventures with boating, traveling, tennis, endless card games, and so many more fun things carried them through the years.
Barb is survived by her husband, John Seiler. She is also survived by her son’s: Nick and Jimmy; brother’s: Albert (Sonny) and wife, Linda, Rick and wife, Margie. Grandchildren: Matthew and Megan. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Barb is preceded in death by her parents, brother (Doug) and son Jerry. Jerry’s passing was a heartbreak that Barb was never able to overcome. We know that they are united in union with great fanfare.
Services for Barb will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home on November 16th at 11:00 for family with a reception to follow at Pine Lakes Community Center at 1:00 for family and friends.
