T. L. passed away on October 18, 2022 in Canton, Texas. He was born on May 6, 1933 in Idabel, Oklahoma to John Turner and Susie Rusk Thompson.
T. L. was a hardworking man. He owned and operated Canton Furniture Mart for several years and in 1994 he opened and operated Thompson Equipment until his passing. He still found time to prepare and preach a sermon on Sunday. He loved hunting the family land in Quanah and spending time with family. He enjoyed piddling with old tractors and equipment. He always found time, when able, to go to all the great grandchildren activities. He never met a stranger and always remembered them. T. L. was a good and faithful servant to the Lord and a loving and devoted father, PawPaw and friend to those in need. He will live on in the memories of all that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Turner and Susie; wife, Rose Brewer; wife, Mary Thompson; brothers, Tommy Thompson Sr., Kenneth Thompson; nephew, Terry Thompson.
T. L. is survived by his son, Larry and Linda Sue Thompson; grandsons, Jason and Kristen Thompson, Kody and Wende Thompson; great grandchildren, Grace, Hunter, Lille and Jace; sister, Betty Jean Orris; niece, Debby Reed; nephew, Tommy Thompson Jr. and numerous great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
