A Celebration of Life service will be held for Sharron LaMar Buhl, 74, of Canton, Texas at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4,2024 at Crossroads Church of Canton, Pastors Doug Ericson, Mike Kirkpatrick and Mark Robinson will be officiating.
Sharron went home to the Lord on September 25, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on November 1, 1949, in Hempstead, Texas, to Lamar Brown and Mattie Norsworthy Brown. Sharron was a Christian by faith and came to know the Lord early in life at Bella Vista Missionary Baptist Church in Houston. As an adult she was an active member of Flatwood Assembly of God, Manasseh Ministries.
She grew up in Houston, Texas where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She attended Trinity Valley Community College where she studied nursing. On August 9, 2011, she married Tim Buhl whom she called a direct answer to prayer. The couple had a wonderful thirteen years together, building a life full of love and happiness. Sharron enjoyed riding in the car with the top down and the wind blowing through her hair. Red was her favorite color, and she was always on the lookout for something red when shopping. Sharron enjoyed all outdoor activities and was a loyal “Cowgirl” watching “Them Boys”. But the thing that really made her happiest, was spending time with her grandchildren. Sharron had a close relationship with them and a day with them was the best day of all! Sharron will be dearly missed but lives on in the hearts and minds of all those that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her father Lamar, and her mother Mattie Pearl (Norsworthy) Brown, four brothers and three sisters.
Sharron is survived by her beloved husband, Tim Buhl, daughter, Mattay Byars, son, Lamar Eric Brown, son-in-law Connail and two precious grandchildren, Cha’Nelle and C. J. Byars. Sharron is also survived by her brother, Bruce Brown and sister, Iva C. Smith along with a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held one hour prior at 1:00 p.m., a service at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Church.
Final resting place will be at Flatwood Church Cemetery in Van Zandt County, Texas.
