Robert was born April 18th, 1956, in Van Zandt County and went to be with our heavenly father July 9th, 2017, in Paris, Texas.
Robert grew up in Van Zandt County where he raised his two children Cassie and Coley and eventually met the love of his life Judy Goodner. Robert took a job with Thomason Trucking of Broken Bow, and he and Judy made their home in Broken Bow and have spent their years together enjoying nature’s beauty.
Robert was first and foremost a Christian who had an unwavering faith. Robert had a passion for life and enjoyed antiquing, woodworking and building things with his hands from nature's gifts, being on the lake on a sunny day, playing games and spending time with friends and family. His favorite hobby was riding ATV’s. Robert loved new experiences and everyone that met Robert felt his strength, kindness and genuine interest in knowing who they were. He had a quick wit and a brilliant sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh.
Abraham Lincoln said, “And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years”. Robert made every day count and will be missed by all of those who knew and loved him dearly.
