Martha Jane Shivers

A funeral mass will be held for Martha Jane Shivers, 95, of Royse City, 10 am Friday, May 26, 2023, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Canton with Father Jesudoss Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Union Chapel Cemetery in Van.

Mrs. Shivers passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 in Rockwall. She was born March 7, 1928 in Princeton, Indiana to Albert and Millie Woods Titzer.

Martha had lived in Edom for 31 years until she moved to Royse City in 2016 to be closer to her family. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Canton for many years.

Mrs. Shivers is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Gene Shivers; and two brothers: Carl and Joe Titzer.

Martha is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Kelly Shivers; three grandchildren: Hillary Simpson, Kristin Shivers and Amy Lawless; four great-grandchildren: Campbell Simpson, Porter Simpson, Finley Lawless and Whitney Lawless; two brothers: George Titzer and Ralph Titzer; three sisters: Elizabeth Scheller, Katherine Meliot and Mary Ann Scheu; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 to 7 pm Thursday at Eubank Funeral Home with a Rosary beginning at 7 pm.
