Services for Henry Ray "Jake" Slaughter, 93, of Canton, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday July 4, 2014 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jon Thornsbury, Bro. Steve Glosup officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, Texas.

He passed away July 1, 2014 in Canton, TX.

Mr. Slaughter was born October 31, 1920 in Edgewood, TX, to Alexander Spratley and Ruth Lou Knight Slaughter.

Jake was Methodist by faith. He was married to his precious wife, Billie Rose, for 60 years before her passing in 2007. Jake loved to play golf and enjoyed traveling to Colorado. He enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard, the cows and his farm.

Surviving are Son, Donald Jake & Paula Slaughter of Canton, TX, Grandson, Kerry Don & Vicki Slaughter of Canton, TX, Brother, Billy Wayne Slaughter of Troup, TX, Sister, Myra Nell Wandry of Enid, OK, 2 Great Granddaughters, Taylor & Ryan Rocheleau of Canton, TX, Sierra Slaughter of Canton, TX, Other Relatives & Friends,.

Henry was preceded in death by his Wife, Billie Rose Paschall-Slaughter, Brother, Garth Slaughter, Sister, Cora Gibson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Senior Golf Association and Van Zandt Country Club.

Family will receive friends Thursday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
