A Celebration of Life for Ernesto “Ernest” Ruiz, 53, of Murchison, Texas will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Eubank Funeral Home, following a visitation at 2:30 PM, Chaplain David Aucion officiating.

Ernest went to his heavenly home on January 10, 2024 in Murchison, Texas surrounded by family. He was born on January 29, 1970 in Del Rio, Texas to Armandina Salas.

Ernest grew up around San Angelo, Texas. He was a man with a big heart. He is the kind of friend that would give you the shirt off his back. He lived his life with joy and love for his fellow man. Ernest was the biggest Cowboy fan. A day with football and watching the Cowboys was a good day. Ernest married his true love, Jo Anne Huff on May 22, 2009 in Las Vegas. The couple built a beautiful life together. Ernest was a supportive husband and father. His happiest days were spent surrounded with his family. Ernest will live on in the memories and hearts of all that knew and loved him.

Ernest will be fondly remember by his family: wife, Jo Anne Ruiz; children, Ashley Ruiz and husband, Juan Leos; Justin Ruiz and wife, Ashley Rangel; grandchildren, Aydin Ruiz, Madyson Ruiz, Analia Leos, Yvonne Leos; mother, Armandina Salas; step-father, Jesus; mother in-law, Annie Huff; siblings, Mando and Dina; furbabies, Hunni and Bo.

He is preceded in death by his father in-law, Bobby Huff.
