A funeral service for Bobby D. Willoughby, 81, of Wills Point, Texas will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation held one hour prior, at Eubank Funeral Home, Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.
Bobby passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024 in Van, Texas. He was born on March 1, 1943 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Robert Willoughby and Beulah Baughman Willoughby.
He grew up in Myrtle Springs area and attended Myrtle Springs School. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Bobby liked the simple things in life. He was a welder by trade and one of the best around. Bobby loved to tell a good joke and was a prankster at heart. He enjoyed a good game of dominos and time with friends. Many days you could find Bobby and his sidekick – his dog, “Walter Brown” running around on his gator. Bobby was a good friend to have and was never afraid of hard work.
He is preceded by his parents, Robert and Beulah Willoughby; daughter, Georgia Willoughby Spencer; sisters, Betty, Judy and Vera.
Bobby is survived by his daughter, Tina Willoughby; brother, Louis and Genevia Willoughby; grandchildren, Bobby Lee Baker, Stephanie Spencer, Terrie Spencer and wife, Sarah; great grandchild, Kaden Spencer; several nieces and nephews; a host of other family and friends.
Interment will be at Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Van Zandt County, Texas.
