Billy Jack Carson II

Billy Jack Carson, II, 67, of Canton, passed away February 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 18, 1955, in Kaufman to Billy Jack and Mattie Evelyn (Riley) Carson. Jack found the love of his life in Margie Gamow and they were blessed with 23 years together after being joined on April 15, 1999. Jack loved spending time with his family while listening to classic rock and country music. He always had snacks at hand while cheering on his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. During his free time, Jack was entertained by building model cars. Jack always enjoyed a good laugh and he found a joke in everything.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Margie Gamow; sons: Shawn Cosgrave, AJ Gamow; daughters: Myra Gamow, Tamara Derr and husband, Michael; 3 grandchildren; sisters: Jan Cox, Connie Woods and husband, John; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Jack and Mattie Carson; daughter, Misty Cosgrave; and brother-in-law, Bobby Cox.
