Rosemary Smith, 82, of Canton, passed away peacefully March 22nd at the Canton Christian Home. She was born in Chicago, IL August 21, 1935 to the late Harvey S. Johnson and Delores M. Johnson growing up in Chicago, IL and coming to Canton in 1952 to graduate from McKinley High School in 1954.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie R. Severson and partner (Doreen Takeda) of Westminster, CO; and son, Richard (Doreen) Smith of Canton; and three granddaughters, Nicole (Tyler) Lepi of Columbus, Calyssa and Amanda Smith of Canton. She was a member of St George Serbian Church. She worked and retired from The Hoover Company with 24 years.
She enjoyed many sports, bowling, camping, fishing, swimming, skiing, boating and softball into her retired years and possessed an adventurous heart to try many others. She made many card (euchre) playing friends at CCH. She was a loving Grandmother and always showing her pride in her family. She was playful and loving and the shoulder to all.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00-6:00pm on Monday, March 26th at Canton Christian Home, 2550 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton, followed by a remembrance service at 6:00pm. A graveside gathering will be at 11:00am on Tuesday at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
