John Joseph Drovdlic Jr. 78, loving husband of Darlene, was welcomed into heaven Saturday, November 4th surrounded by his beloved family at his home in North Canton. This wonderful man was our storyteller, our constant, our rock and our best friend. He was the most loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed, always loved, remembered forever, and cherished in our hearts
John was born to John Drovdlic, Sr. and Edna (Mikicic) Drovdlic on October 1, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from David Anderson High School, Lisbon, Ohio in 1957 and attended Youngstown State University. He was married to his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Darlene (Lisko) Drovdlic.
John began his career as an industrial engineer with Hunt Valve in Akron before going to work at The Hoover Company. John retired from The Union Metal Corporation as Human Resource Manager in 2004. He was a parishioner at Little Flower Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
John loved being a husband and dad. His love for his family was unconditional, unwavering and inspiring. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Darlene; and six children, Wendy Jeffries (Mark), John Michael Drovdlic, Deb Drovdlic, Cris Hampe (Alesia Danford), Patricia Drovdlic, Jill Jones (Scott); his brother, George Drovdlic of Calcutta (Marjorie), and many loving relatives and friends.
“Grampa” leaves behind his cherished grandchildren; Mark Jeffries, Jr.(Ann-Marie), Stefanie Jeffries Tucker (Paul), Ashleigh Egan Millat (Dan), Shawn Egan, Shannon Egan, Deanna Egan, Michael Hampe, Brian Hampe, Jeremy Danford, Brooke Danford, Anna-Marie Pinney, Jacob Jones, Chloe Jones and Taylor Jones. He also leaves his treasured great grandchildren, Andrew John Jeffries, Claire Tucker, Dylan Wyss, Kyleigh Millat, Peightyn “Pj” Millat and Rylenn (Danford) Lanham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 8th, at Little Flower Catholic Church, 2040 Diamond Street NE, Canton. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8pm on Tuesday, November 7th, in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
