So many things I can say but most importantly I wanted to thank you for always being there for us and the kids anytime we needed it. Thank you for being a great friend to Tyler over the years & thank you being a great “uncle” to my children. They love you so much, as do we & we will make sure they never forget you! 

We have so many good memories together John. Hopefully you’re looking down getting a good laugh at this memory I’m about to share, not so funny when it happened but a good laugh now that it has passed.  We were always goofing off together, not a time we hung out that you weren’t smiling or making someone else smile. I remember us goofing around with my little sister & she decided throwing my wallet with a metal rim would be a good idea, the end result ... Your poor front teeth got knocked out!! We were all laughing together & then realized you were missing something !! I apologized repeatedly but you weren’t that bothered about it, you just laughed with us and said you would get it fixed. Missing you already good friend. See ya in a little while Bud. 

There are no words when parents lose a child....  My heart breaks for you.   We remember you at Knapp as being such a devoted family.  Your children   were blessed to have you as parents. I had Summer .  She loved her brother. He will be missed by so many. God be with  you filling you peace and love. Joyce Sutherland 


Dylan and i grew up together and we shared some of the most important moments of our lives.. I am very thankful to have made so many memories with you. I remember one day we both decided we needed a vacation and before we could think twice about it the two of us were headed across the country to Orange Beach Alabama. We spent a week down there together and ended up trapped in a hurricane. There were a few sketchy moments and i think at times we were both scared. We made it out together with some great memories and ended up having one of the best times. A piece of my heart is forever lost.. you will always be my brother. 

I watched Dylan grow up with my kids in our beloved UU Fellowship/Congregation of Greater Canton....he seemed happier and at peace when he was with us....as a father who was watching my own two, I was keenly aware of all the children in our wonderful congregation....as the work Diane and I put into securing a building had come to fruition with the Easton St. property. Dylan was a sweet kid, and the few times I spoke with him, he was very nice and respectful to me.....I'm going to miss him, Dearly......


The Dylan I knew could be shy and private...
and yes, restless and moody....
in the way that a lot of young men today can often be, as they search to find a place for themselves in a far more uncertain world  than the one  that “Boomers” like me knew when we were young.
Still, every now and then, while visiting with his mother, my lifelong friend since kindergarten...
I would catch glimpses of Dylan’s true spirit...
as he played happily on the floor with his dog. 
Dylan and Buddy would roll about...
And I could see a playful young man with a  very good heart. 
I saw his mother’s son...
learning how to love. 

Recently you told David and I how excited you were for us because of the baby and getting a house. We will forever miss you. RIH our angel! 

The best little brother you could ask for! This life will not be the same without him!! I love you Dylan! <3
