Evelyn Mae Sanford

Evelyn was born March 10, 1923, in Goshen, Ohio to the late Ray and Emma Harmon. She graduated from Midvale High School in Midvale, Ohio. As a young woman she worked at the Timken Company where she met her husband, the late Jack E. Sanford. They were married in January 1945. She worked for Fisher Foods for 35 years retiring in 1984. Her hobbies were cooking, spoiling her grandchildren, and spending money shopping for anyone and everyone. There was never a sale she didn’t need to check out.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Harmon; and a sister, Mavis Lindsey. Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Jack and Jim (Kim) Sanford; three grandchildren-Sean, Andrew (Erin), and Alex “Mel” Sanford; three great-grandchildren-Jared, Jake, and Jenna Sanford; a sister, Eileen Roberts; and two brothers-Kenny (Betty) Harmon and Ron (Joyce) Harmon; and dear friend, Cathy Villosio.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 27 at 11:00 in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday, January 26 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
